Sterling's Story

My name is Sterling Norris, I am a 17 year old student pilot in training. My journey on how I got interested in flying. I have always hinted around how amazing it would be to fly an airplane. For my 15th birthday in 2020, my mom surprised me with my first flight! I was the age of 3 when the Flying bug hit me. I was on my flight to England, I couldn’t even fall asleep on the plane I was filled with that much excitement.

My grandma and I always watched the Blue Angels take off every year. Front row every time, receiving an autograph from each Blue Angel. I remember hearing the jets flying fast and furious through sky, dreaming of myself being up there. There was nothing stopping me, I knew my time would come around.

Thinking about it now, all these adventures lined up the way they did for a reason, now I am a first generation pilot in my family aspired to keep going until I earn my commercial certification.Just keep working hard! Your time will come, but it will come with keeping a great mindset and studying everyday.
